Environmental Issues in Indonesia

Rubbish has become a classic issue for every country around the world. Almost all countries have issues in overcoming the trash heap that number continues to increase every day. This issue became the main focus as it pertains to the environmental conditions of a country. Therefore, many countries have embarked on a program of re-use and re-cycle on the rubbish that exists to tackle this problem.

In our country, trash is an issue that can not find a solution. Although our government is also implementing a program of re-use and re-cycle, but the environmental issues and trash in our country has not been resolved. Even the issues in our country have become complex and spread to many other aspects so that the damage done to the environment. Here are the problems that exacerbate environmental damage in Indonesia. Such as illegal logging, pollution, the lack of availability of trash field, the lack of public awareness maintaining cleanliness.

The first issue is illegal logging. Indonesia is famous for wood industry that even its popularity has reached the world level. But unfortunately, the timber was taken from the forest without regard for sustainability, so that much of the forest is removed. As a result, the forest bare and loss of function.

The second issue is pollution. Indonesia accused of being one of the countries that are responsible for the global warming. This is because our country has high levels of air pollution as a result of the amount of smoke from factories, motor vehicles and other many more are produced.

The third issue is the lack of availability of trash field. Nowadays,  trash field couldn’t  accommodate the amount of trash. Besides the existence of trash field. Usually it is cause problems for many local residents who demanded to move the landfill from their places. Because these are very disturbing.

The fourth issue is the lack of public awareness maintaining cleanliness. This can be seen from the number of trash scattered because they are lazy to dispose of waste in place. They prefer to throw garbage in the river than in the bins provided. As a result, the river is so polluted and can cause flooding.

Based on the explanations that have been discussed above, we can conclude that the environmental problems in our country can’t be resolved even more complex with the problems as mentioned above. then, hopefully we realize all the issue facing the country. F or the sake of survival for our children and grandchildren.
