1. Chronological Order

The Immortal Series

            Alyson Noel is an American author from Orange Country, California. She is the #1 New York Times best-selling, award-winning, and author of 23 novels. The first book series that is written by her is The Immortal Series. There are six books in a series. The first of all is Evermore. Evermore is published on February 3, 2009. Evermore was an immediate bestseller and, as on October 1, 2009, had spent 34 weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list for children’s books. The second book is Blue Moon which released on July 7, 2009. Blue moon had also spent 12 weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list for children’s books. After that, Shadowland is the third book in The Immortal Series which released on November 17, 2009. Then the forth is Dark Flame. It was released on June 22, 2010. Next, Night Star is released on November 16, 2010. This book is on the USA Today Best Seller. The sixth and the final of The Immortal Series is Everlasting. Everlasting is released on June 7, 2011. Eventually, nowadays The Immortal Series is the #1 New York Times Best Seller, and USA Today Best Seller.

5 Things That a Textbook Should Have

            Textbook is a book that contains information about a subject that people study, especially at school or college. There are several criteria of a good textbook. First, a good textbook should attract the student’s attention. The first criteria that a textbook should have is should give a motivation and challenge the students to use the textbook. When the students get motivated, they will think carefully to decide the right answers. Second, textbook should have a good illustration. Illustration is the pictures (image, painting) which are used to add the explanations on the textbook, and build the imagination of students in understanding the materials. The third criteria is should consider the linguistic aspects. A good textbook should have the linguistic aspect such as has a good grammar, the suitable words and sentences, and the most important thing is it can easily understood by the student. Fourth, textbook should avoid unclear and unusual concept. In other word, there should be a map of the book in every textbook which explains the concepts that the students are going to learn about in every chapter. The last but not the least, textbook should be able to give the moral value. Textbook will be graded as a good textbook if it can give the moral value. Moral value is important because it helps in improving behavior, instilling respect and enhancing relationships with others. Knowing what is right and what is wrong is an important element that people should have. At the end, textbook will be classified as a good textbook if it has the five criteria of a good textbook.

3. Contrast

Novel vs Comic

            People in this world have different opinion about their favorite book. Some people choose novel as their favorite while the others choose comic. However, both novel and comic have the differences. When novel mostly uses words, comic is full of pictures. Novel needs diction and repetition of words to make the readers understand. Otherwise, comic just uses text as its complement because the pictures and the visualizations are already explaining the storyline. Yet, there is still another difference. Unlike novel that can be very thick in just one book, comic will end in just approximately 32 pages until 64 pages. The total of the pages can be caused by the plot of the story. While the plot of novel is complicated and needs more time to finish it, the plot of comic is simple and just needs a few of time to reach the ending of the story. After all, both novel and comic are enjoyable books regardless of the differences between these two.

4. Comparison

LINE vs BBM 

            Nowadays, there are so many kinds of social media that invented by inventor such as LINE and Blackberry Messenger (BBM). Both of them have the similarities. First of all, we can use LINE and BBM to chatting in personal. We can easily chatting with someone just by search their name in the contact then voila we can communicate through the personal chat. We also can chatting in a group. It will help us if we want to communicate with many people. Not only LINE that has many colorful and creative stickers but also BBM. Stickers are commonly used to express our feelings just the way we want to. Besides, both of them can also make international and domestic calls with its application. Hence, from the explanations above, we can conclude that both of them have the function to help us to communicate with others. It depends on us which one we prefer to use.
